Goals of this wiki

• combine knowledge and references to provision reliable source of information on kitesurf related topics
• open source kitesurf related data to be available and useable anywhere and in any form, thereby enhancing the overall knowledge for the community
• eventualy provide this data to wiki voyage (current lack of semantic wiki prevents from adding structured information) in order to have complete community-driven information for kitseurf travel
• eventualy provide this data to wikidata to further improve quality and completeness of information about kite spots
• provide a free space for service providers (schools, shops, accomodation) to be visible.
• in order to preserve integrity of the information the wiki should not hold subjective appreciation and reviews of kitesurfing spots, even though this is criticaly usefull for the purpose. references to other websites with such information is however encouraged

Why such wiki ?

• because the data available about kitesurf spots is either incorrect, biased, or unreferenced, which always leaves doubt on the accuracy
• because service providers should not have to pay for visibility. affiliate links lead to unfairness and bias.
