open source kitesurf related data to be available and useable anywhere and in any form, thereby enhancing the overall knowledge for the community
eventualy provide this data to other mediawkikis in order to have complete community-driven information on kitesurfing spots
provide a free space for service providers (schools, shops, accomodation) to be visible

there are already great websites to find information about kitesurf spots
no database or automated system can provide better information than local knowledge

but

the information is mostly proprietary and without full disclosure of data source
the data is sometimes incorrect, inaccurate, biased, or unreferenced (which always leaves doubt on the accuracy)
there lacks a space for service providers to gain visibility without paying for it. Affiliate links lead to unfairness and bias, and often works to the disadvantage of locals

integrate available spots from available data sources (e.g. openstreetmaps)
import calculated wind statistics
set-up page templates for spots
set-up entry forms
export/integrate to wikivoyage, openstreetmaps, wikidata, or other relevant mediawikis
define contribution policy. In order to preserve integrity of the information the wiki should not hold subjective appreciation and reviews of kitesurfing spots and services even though this is criticaly usefull for the purpose. Objective assessment and non documented information however should be possible. References to other websites with such information is however encouraged.
